Potter's Field
A potter's field is a place for the burial of unknown, unclaimed and indigent people. Forest Hill buried 346 in unmarked graves between 1914 and 1920, most of them during the Spanish flu pandemic of 1918.

  • Receiving Vault
    A receiving vault is a structure designed to temporarily store dead bodies. Before modern powered digging equipment made it possible to dig graves in winter bodies were held until the spring though before burial.
