William G. Dunn Sep 23, 1847 - Oct 25, 1925

William was known as "Pickerel Billy" to his friends and clients

Launching his boat near James Madison Park, he routinely caught 100 pounds of bass or pike in a day and sold them to downtown hotels and restaurants

He was Madison’s premier fisherman, even guiding President Cleveland on Lake Mendota in 1887

Billy died of blood poisoning from a fish hook
