Michael was killed during construction of a new wing to the Capitol Builing (previous Capitol that was deystoyed by fire in 1904) when the incomplete structure collapsed
Reported missing, a search was made and he was found in a horribly mangled position, he did not die until after he was removed from the rubble
His son, Matthew Zwank, was also injured, but survived, now buried at Resurrection Cemetery across the street
