Belcher shot and killed
Harold Koerner and
Helen Vernig in Koerner's car as they arrived at Vernig's home.
Vernig's son watched out the window as it happened.
Police caught up with Belcher a couple blocks away and he tried to run. After telling him repeatedly to drop his gun Belcher pointed it at
the police and they opened fire, killing him. At least six cops shot at him.
Belcher had just got out of jail and was jelous that Vernig had been dating another man, but it wasn't Koerner.
